All About RICH GOTERI & MIKE MILIABOUT RICHARD GOTERI THE WRITER…
Rich has been a professional writer for twenty five years. He has written, optioned or sold the screenplays:
A Better Life (Carson Productions), Eastern Market, Bulls, Bears and Betrayal (Tim Lewis Productions)
Second Chance with Tim Crouse and Potty Time with Mike Mili to name a few. His short film,
A Small World will be shot in LA this summer and directed by Dean Peratsakis of the Directors Guild. As a playwright his plays A Better Life, The Messengers and Grandmas Gift have all been optioned by
theatres around the country and produced. Grandmas Gift, a children’s play, will be produced in the Michigan
area this May. Rich has written numerous sketch comedies for The Second City, National Lampoon and many
corporate shows both live and on video. His television credits include writing for the shows Saturday Night Live!
Film Fest 7 with the Second City, King of Queens and Hot off the Press, which he was also an actor on for FOX.
He is the creator and writer of the five part DVD series on improv comedy called The Tao of Improv, which he
also stars. His book Something From Nothing, the technique of improv (Brainiac Books) is in its forth printing.
The e -book and books on CD versions are now available too. Rich was the Artistic Director of the Second City
for ten years and was influential in starting the writing program there. Rich holds a Masters Degree from
Canterbury University in London.
ABOUT MICHAEL MILI THE WRITER… In 1999 Michael Mili became the Director of New Markets for Schinker Entertainment. He oversaw the development and implementation of all new one-of a-kind mobile promotional attractions and technologies. Mr. Mili worked with such studios as 20th Century Fox, Searchlight, New Line Cinema, Miramax, MGM, Columbia / Tri-Star / Sony, etc. Together with Thomas Ventimiglio, Michael has written two screenplays; “The Mamaluke” and “Uncle Fino.” Along with Andy Collen, of Happy Trails Animation, Michael created and wrote the animated feature: “The Blowfeld Bears., “Eddy The Unending Life,” and several animated features for The New Three Stooges which is also in development. Finally, Michael has teamed up with fellow actor and friend Rich Goteri; together they’ve co-written several screenplays; of which two of them are: “Potty Time” and “A very Low Carb Movie.” Rich and Mike have compiled and developed a method of applied writing principles, which they called: “WORDS TO FILM BY.” Together, they have determined to share the method with everyone who wants to give Screenwriting a shot. The book of the same name is set for release sometime this year. Amongst MICHAEL mili’s other written works: Michael wrote and illustrated: 101 Uses for the Dirty Disposable Diaper and Tasso’s Big Book of Humor. Michael is putting the final touches on his novel; an epic based on three generations of his family, America and the early days of the Mob.
